Queens under-21 to compete in World Cup qualifiers

Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) has disclosed that the Malawi under-21 national netball team will compete in 2021 Netball Youth World Cup qualifiers set for Kampala, Uganda in May.
Top four teams from Africa will qualify for the finals set for Fiji next year.
In view of this, Nam General Secretary, Carol Bapu, said the association will release full details of the coaching panel and tentative budget this month end.
“The games are crucial because that’s where we develop players for the main senior side. As Malawi, we are taking part in the qualifiers and shortly we will release the names of members of the coaching panel as well as detailed preparation plans,” she said.
Malawi under-21 last competed in qualifiers in Gaborone, Botswana in 2016 but failed to qualify for the Youth World Cup that was held in the same country in 2017.
Australia based shooter Mwawi Kumwenda was spotted having impressed at 2009 Netball Youth World Cup in Cook Islands.
