Raised for a Purpose (RFP) Ministry, an interdenominational ministry, on Tuesday brought together professionals from various industries and challenged them to exercise financial prudence and control in their workplaces, business ventures and personal lives.

The call was made by RFP founder and leader Aubrey Mwasinga when the ministry organised a networking event for professionals at Ryalls Hotel in Blantyre.

Mwasinga, a pastor, motivational speaker and entrepreneur, used Biblical principles to implore on professionals to adjust their lifestyles if they are to experience growth in all areas of their lives.

He observed that the trend where most professionals only succeed in certain areas of their lives while struggling in others is an error and a departure from the ultimate purpose designed for human beings.

Mwasinga also stressed that good character and attitude were some of the prerequisites of a successful life.

“It is imperative for one to have a positive character and attitude towards the financial setbacks that come with transitioning to the entrepreneurial side of life. And the only way one can do this is by enriching one’s spiritual life,” he said.

One of the highlights of the meeting was a session known as ‘Increase Greatness Through Knowledge’ where CEO and founder of Accelerate Africa, Maria Mhandire, shared on how one can successfully transition from a corporate career to become an entrepreneur.

She encouraged the audience to be mentally, financially and spiritually ready for the entrepreneurial world saying it is not easy to run a business smoothly.

The meeting, organised under RFP’s Zone Z network, brings together professionals once every month to network and share insights and wisdom in their careers, businesses and the word of God.
