Engola released his debut solo project titled Welcome to the Shop Extended Playlist (EP) with an aim of commemorating his opening the first of its kind apparel store in the country called KNQR store.

The EP was also released in line with the Warm Winter campaign to use 50 percent of the sales for the initiative.

The Welcome to the Shop broke the country’s music record by buying a single copy of the album at K1 million and sold K1.6 million in its first week of release.

The former Home Grown Africa artist has also been fundamentally involved with a charity organisation known as Courageous Kids Foundation where he recently also donated a TV, toys and clothes for children.

He has since said he plans to introduce a computer school at the foundation.

“Imagination builds the future. As children, we need simple things like TVs, toys and colour to spark that creativity. We are living in a digital age and most of our youth are still in the dark and it will be difficult for them to compete in the future if they are not educated early in regards to technology and basic knowledge,” the rapper said.

KNQR Foundation Director, Victor Mwale, said he believes the current generation needs to do more in preparation for the future.

“It is imperative that our generation work hard in empowering the less fortunate because there is so much that they can offer instead of just being statistics in our day to day lives,” Mwale said.

The rapper said the Warm Winter initiative will not stop here and that KNQR Foundation is set to launch a Project Your Mind campaign which will among others, advocate for mental issues and empower young people struggling with financial instabilities and alcohol abuse.
