Renowned gospel hip-hop artist Suffix will Saturday perform at Garden City Mall in Zambia at a Coffee and Jazz Unplugged event.
Suffix, real name Aubrey Ghambi, who leaves the country today, said he was honoured to perform in Zambia at a show organised by Atmosphere Company of Zambia.
“This is huge. I have prepared a set of songs that I will perform including two songs that I will perform, with Pompi,” the artist famed for the song ‘Ghetto ndi Nyatwa’ said.
He said his performance in Zambia shows that the country has what it takes to export talent.
“This is my fifth time to perform in Zambia,” Suffix said.
Pompi said he was looking forward to performing with Suffix, who he described as a star.
Hosted by DJ Kas, the event will also feature artists such as Wana, Raphael The Poet, Grace Ngandwe, Chilembo and Amanda and Phinix.
On his part, Atmosphere Company manager, Don Kang’ombe, said they decided to invite Suffix to the event because he is one of the best rappers, saying that his music resonates well with the Zambian audience, in terms of the language, message and hip hop culture.
“I am calling on people from all parts of the world to come here in Zambia and patronise this big event,” Kang’ombe said.
Meanwhile, Suffix has said he will be releasing a single off his new album, which he is set to launch on October 9 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe after coming back from Zambia.
Suffix’s other albums are Story and To Whom It May Concern.
