Re Lions coach, Mike Kumanga, has bemoaned lack of depth in his squad.

“We must accept that this season we are not performing according to everybody’s expectation. But we are not just idle. We are still working on how to fix the problem. However, that is no enough reason for our fans to lose hope. We are hopeful that we will pull up our socks in the next 14 games,” Kumanga said.

During the game, Innocent Bokosi cancelled out Jafali Chande’s opener for the visitors.

The Zomba soldiers escaped from the jaws of defeat due to their goalkeeper Clement Mlombwa’s s tunning saves.

“We are going to Lilongwe this weekend to meet Civo United and Kamuzu Barracks. With the point we have collected, we are sure of coming back victorious in both games,” Kumanga added.

Wanderers are on position nine with 25 points, 10 points ahead of the 12th placed soldiers.
