Referee Ishmael Chizinga for Caf game
Confederation of African Football (Caf) has assigned Malawian Fifa referee, Ishmael Chizinga, a Confederation Cup first-round game between Zimbabwe’s Ngezi Platinum Stars and Pamplemousses SC of Mauritius.
Chizinga will handle the game in Harare tomorrow alongside compatriots Clemence Kanduku and Jonazio Luiz.
Referees’ instructor Moffat Champiti confirmed the appointment of Chizinga.
Champiti said he was optimistic that Chizinga would handle the game professionally.
“The trio has been considered after doing well in the last Fifa physical fitness test. There is another test next month so the trio will also be asked to undergo the test,” Champiti said.
Chizinga has since promised to deliver the goods in Zimbabwe.
“I am very humbled that my dream has been fulfilled,” he said.
