Reshuffle at Capital Hill
There has been a major shake-up of Principal Secretaries and Directors at Capital Hill, the seat of government, The Sunday Times can reveal.
According to communication that we have seen, Secretary for Agriculture, Erica Maganga, has been moved to the Ministry of Information and has been replaced with Controller of Agriculture Services, Gray Nyandule Phiri.
Maganga replaces Justin Saidi who is moving to the Ministry of Education as Principal Secretary.
Chief Director for Agriculture, Bright Kumwembe, goes to the Ministry of Energy in the same position.
In a telephone interview yesterday, Kumwembe said he had not yet received any communication.
“I have heard about the communication. But I have not yet received any official communication” Kumwembe said.
Maganga, however, expressed ignorance over the movements.
Also affected by the changes is Secretary for Human Resources Blessings Chilabade who has been redeployed to the Ministry of Labour. He has since been replaced with Hillary Chimota.
