Robert Ng’ambi opens scoring account
Malawian midfielder Robert Nga’mbi opened his South African Absa Premier Soccer League (PSL) scoring account of the 2017 season on Wednesday night.
Nga’mbi scored the consolation goal for Platinum Stars in a 3-1 loss to hosts Cape Town City, according to SuperSport.com.
Letsie Koapeng, Ayanda Patosi and Teko Modise scored for City before the Flames attacker headed in the consolation. Stars are yet to win in two games this season.
In another PSL game, Gabadinho Mhango featured for Bidvest Wits when they drew 2-2 with Free State Stars also on Wednesday night. Gerald Phiri Junior did not play for Wits.
Still in South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs, employers for Malawian Assistant Coach, Patrick Mabedi, are still searching for the first win of the season after losing 2-1 to SuperSport United also on Wednesday night.
The PSL season kicked off last week.
