Robert Ng’ambi’s agent hints on his departure
Malawi international Robert Ng’ambi’s agent Tim Sukazi has hinted that the Flames midfielder could be on his way out of Platinum Stars at the end of his contract with the Premier Soccer League club.
The former Big Bullets player is on the wanted list of Supersport United who are reportedly interested in a swap deal with Michael Morton.
His agent said Ng’ambi was serving the last year on his contract with Dikwena, and may make an exit sooner rather than later.
“Ng’ambi will remain with Platinum Stars for now. You can underline for now,” Sukazi told Kickoff.com. “There will always be interest because Ng’ambi is a top-level and professional player.”
“People are calling every day and that’s why I am saying with one year left on his contract, anything is possible.”
Ng’ambi, regarded as the most consistent Malawian player in South Africa’s Premier Soccer League, started his professional career at Monomotapa after arriving from Big Bullets.
He then moved to Black Leopards in 2005 and played
for the side for six years before joining Platinum Stars in 2011.
At Stars, he quickly established himself as the team’s playmaker. But of late he has been hit by injuries that have affected his performance both at club and national team, the Flames.
