Rookies Bangwe All Stars busy on transfer market

Bangwe All Stars have signed three experienced players in their quest to avoid TNM Super League relegation in their debut season.
The rookies Tuesday unveiled former Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder Chimango Kayira, who penned a two-year contract after leaving Mozambican side Vilankulo FC.
Tuesday, the Southern Region Football Association ambassadors were busy as they also unveiled Innocent Msowoya from Sable Farming.
All Stars have roped in former Mighty Mukuru Wanderers defender Bongani Kaipa, who sealed a two-year deal.
The 30-year-old joined the side as a free agent following his release from Wanderers.
Earlier on, the side signed Sunganani Geoffrey from Sable Farming. The side indicated that the 19-year-old winger signed a three-year deal.
All Stars owner Mphatso Jika said they want to build a team capable of surviving TNM Super League.
“We don’t want to be a disgrace to the Southern Region Football Association. We feel we need experience to stand the heat. All the new players, including Chimango and Bongani, will bring invaluable experience to the team. They will guide the youngsters,” he said.
Jika said they might keep 15 players from the team that earned Super League promotion after finishing behind Premier Division champions Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve.
Ironically, last week, the side conducted trials under the guidance of Coach Mabvuto Lungu, where 29 players were selected.
