Safintra partners wanderers for derby
Safintra has partnered Mighty Wanderers specifically for the Blantyre derby against Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon.
Through the partnership, the company will dress Wanderers in today’s match and also settle costs for camping.
In total, Safintra has spent K2.6 million on the team ahead of the match.
Wanderers General Secretary Fadweck Matemba confirmed the development, saying the partnership was specifically for the match.
“We are glad that the company has supported us and we hope the players will give out their best,” he said.
Head of Brand and Marketing at Safintra Malawi Akash Deep was excited with the partnership.
“As a corporate responsibility, we always support local talents. We want to contribute towards their development. Therefore, we always support education and healthcare areas wherever we operate,” he said.
“We had donated roofing sheets for schools, libraries, hospitals as well as educational items to students. We believe in contributing towards overall community development.”
The Nomads are on position 10 on the log table with 17 points from 12 matches whereas Bullets are second with 25 points from the same number of matches.
