Youthful artist Saint on Saturday entertained people during a Fashion Winter show organised by Impact Charisma Media Inc in partnership with Pep Stores.

Held at Chichiri Shopping Mall in Blantyre, the event was unique in its own way as Pep Stores also had its share, displaying some of its wears through a fashion show.

Saint was the headliner of the event as he kept the audience on the dance floor with his songs including ‘Delilah’ and ‘Tchekera Maluzi’, a song originally done by Collins Bandawe but he revisited it featuring Macelba.

Using a DJ on set, Saint made sure he impressed when he opened the stage with ‘Delilah’, which saw the audience singing along.

He offered another song before bowing out and then came back to close the show.

“It is good to perform here to a different audience. I am happy that the organisers decided to engage me. They could have chosen to take other artists but they valued my potential and this is why I also did not want to disappoint them,” Saint said.

The artist, who last month performed in South Africa, also revealed that he was in the studio working on a new project to be on the market soon.

There were a few people when the event was starting but, as time went by, several people came in to be part of the fashion show that saw models from children to adults parade in different Pep Stores wears.

Pep Stores also took advantage of the fashion show to sensitise people to issues services they offer.

During the event, Pep Stores also donated items including pairs of shoes to Mountain View School for the Deaf in Thyolo.

The store also interacted with the audience through dance and quiz where, people had to answer such as questions.

Impact Charisma Media Inc Managing Director, Victor Daffrece, said the event was part of giving people in Blantyre something different in a Fashion Winter show.

“We understand the importance of art and so, through this event wanted to promote talent. This is why we had models starting with children and it was exciting to see them show their cat-walking skills,” Daffrece said.

He said they were looking forward to hosting more of such events so as to give art the platform.

The event, hosted by Marie Tsegula, also saw a performance from Dunamis Dance Crew.
