Former national lightweight champion Salimu Chazama will on Sunday, fight current title holder Israel Kam’mwamba in a title bout at the M1 Centre in the Capital City.
Boxing Promotions said all is set for the fight.
And the boxers are also ready for the showdown in what promises to be a thrilling contest.
Coming from three straight and impressive wins against all title challengers, the champion believes that this new challenger will not cause him problems.
“I am set for the fight and I will do everything possible to defend my belt. My colleague is desperate for a win but I am not the person to lose,” he said.
Chazama, on the other hand, said he was determined to stop the champion’s winning streak and reclaim the title that he lost to Chrispin Moliati last year.
“This is different. My colleague should expect a flurry of punches,” he said.
The challenger, who launched his professional boxing career with a bang after a successful amateur career, has not had it easier of late.
He has lost three fights in a row and in the process surrendering his title in a rematch against Moliati.
Chazama said he has corrected areas that needed improvement.
The answers to all the questions that may arise from what the two boxers are promising will be given at the M1 Center Point, on Sunday.
