“I am excited with this album, I have enjoyed working on it although it was tough and I hope people will love the songs,” he said.

The musician admitted that he has been out of the limelight for sometime but said the long break was worth it.

“It’s been sometime since I held live performances but sometimes it’s good to take your time. But I am still around and music is still part of me,” he said.

The singer came to the limelight having released his debut album Mahomwa Ya Fumu.

Many people appreciated his music and likened him to Wambali and he said he is happy to share the stage with his mentor.

“I have always looked up to Wambali in everything in music including mentorship and for him to accept to perform at the launch in Lilongwe is something special,” said Sangwani.

His Themba album however, did not do well on the market.

The musician will first launch the album and DVD tonight before invading Robins Park in Blantyre tomorrow and then Boma Park in Mzuzu on June 4.

Sangwani has since showed his seriousness to give out his best as his Namibian producer Derik Vilas is already in the country.

“Everything is set; I am excited my producer Derik is here and this is just to bring in the spirit of excellence. Derik is an engineer and so he is in just to make sure that we have a perfect sound,” he said.

Sangwani said the CDs and DVDs are ready and that they will start selling soon after the launch in Lilongwe tonight.

Derik said he was happy to be in Malawi for the first time and that he was looking at nothing but the best during the launch in the three cities.

He called on people to come to the launch tonight as well as in Blantyre and Mzuzu adding that Sangwani’s music is classic and that it has a character.
