Schumacher Kuwali eyes Fisd golden boot
Blue Eagles free-scoring forward, Schumacher Kuwali, has he is confident to win Fisd Challenge Cup golden Boot award.
“I am focused and my aim is to help my club win Fisd Challenge Cup while I grab the competition’s Golden Boot award,” Kuwali said yesterday.
The forward, who has been linked with a switch to Mozambique’s UD Songo made the statement as the cops prepare to face Silver Strikers in Fisd Challenge Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
“We beat them 2-1 at Nankhaka Stadium some weeks ago and drew one-all away at their back yard in Area 47. This time around it is going to be tough for them,” he said.
Kuwali has three goals alongside Hangover United’s Brighton Gomani and Deus Mkutu of Moyale Barracks.
However, Silver Coach, Abbasi Makawa, whose team beat Mlatho Mponela 4-1 in the round-of-16, said his team was ready for Eagles.
“I am aware that this is going to be a tough match for us because Eagles are enjoying good form. But we are also ready. We are working on our shortfalls and we hope to improve and be ready for the game,” he said.
Fisd sponsor the Cup to the tune of K60 million this year’s champions will pocket K20 million with runners-up pocketing K7 million.
Semi-finalists will get K2 million each.
