Schumacher Kuwali targets Mozambique Golden Boot
Flames blossoming forward Schumacher Kuwali says he is aiming for Mozambique League Golden Boot award.
Kuwali expressed the optimism over the weekend after netting a brace during Ferroviaro de Nampula’s 3-0 win over Chingare FC on Sunday.
It was Kuwali first brace in the Mocambola League since joining from Lilongwe-based side, Blue Eagles.
Reports from Mozambique suggest that the former Eagles attacker displayed a solid performance to guide his side to a second win of the season in three games.
His compatriots John Banda, Ndaziona Chatsalira and Green Harawa featured for Nampula.
Kuwali described his performance in Mozambique as encouraging.
“I have settled well. My team mates are always supporting me. I will work extra harder to finish as the top scorer,” he said.
No Malawian player has won the top scorer award in the former Portuguese colony.
Last season, Mocambola League top scorer, Lewis Macha, netted nine goals only.
So far, Nampula have won two games, and drawn once in and in Mocambola League
