Shammah ready to rise with his vocals

Shammah Vocalz has said people should brace for his vocals and at the same time experience the best of sounds when he takes to the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe tomorrow night to launch his debut album Asamala Yehovah.
The artist insisted yesterday that his launch was unique and different and that people should come in large numbers simply because it was his launch where the line-up for the night was nothing but perfect.
“There is so much to enjoy for people. There is me and then there is Faith Mussa and Olivia from Zambia, who arrived on Tuesday,” the artist, real name Shammah Sitola, said.
From being told off along the way that he was not good enough during a music contest, Shammah has seen the power of the Lord push him and since then he has not looked back.
“The title track ‘Asamala Yehovah’ is a manifestation of the good things God has done for me. I have moved through thick and thin but here I am today launching my debut album. I joined gospel music because I am a Christian, who believes this is more than just entertainment but a ministry,” he said.
Shammah said he has seen God doing a lot to people through the same music he was doing.
“I am even happy with the achievements I have made, scooping awards in Urban Music People (UMP), that was history made for me,” he said.
Shammah recorded the album in different studios to give people a variety. He among others, worked with Gresham Mokwena at Ituma, OBK at OBK Records, Shadreck Kalukusha, Manifest and Jay Emm.
The 10-track album has songs such as ‘Muyende Nane’, ‘My Zoe’, ‘Grateful for You’, ‘Mwana Wamwamuna’, ‘Amayankha’, ‘Loli’, ‘Bless My Hustle’, ‘Excellence’, and ‘Ndilalikabe’.
“Asamala Yehovah is simply just reminding every living person that God cares for every person despite whatever situation (1 Peter 5 verse 7) and is also inspired by my life story, when I look back and see where God has taken me, I can only say one thing Asamala Yehovah,” he said.
