Leader and founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering, Shepherd Bushiri, on Thursday launched a book titled The Jesus Nation.
According to Bushiri, over 40,000 copies of the book had already been pre-ordered by the day of the launch.
He said proceedings of the sale of the book would go towards charity work.
Bushiri said mindset is a path to success, and that his book has dealt with mindset vehemently.
“God is very powerless in the face of a wrong mindset,” Bushiri said, adding that most battles are won because of mindset.
He said God wants His children to penetrate every sector including business and arts so that He can be glorified.
“I just want to call upon people to buy this book. The message is rich and it will help in guiding them in a number of areas and at the same time teach them,” Bushiri said.
Speaking on behalf of the faith community, Bishop Gilford Matonga called upon people to support Bushiri.
Matonga spoke against jealousy.
Matonga further said the church in the country will support Bushiri who he indicated had shown love to the world by sharing knowledge.
Malawi Writers Union President Chikumbutso Ndaferankhande said the new book would encourage other Malawians to write more.
“The prophet has written more books but with the coming of this book, we see that we are in a new wave of reading and writing,” Ndaferankhande said.
Some of the notable faces at the event included Minister of Sports and Youth, Ulemu Msungama, Lilongwe City Mayor, Juliana Kaduya and members of Parliament, among them Kamlepo Kalua and Henry Chimunthu Banda.
The launch comes barely three years after Bushiri launched six books.
