Short film on the cards
Actor Brazio Mathias Kanyong’o, who has starred in a number of movies such as Where My Heart Belongs and My Mother’s Story has crafted his own short film titled Missed Opportunity.
Kanyong’o said yesterday the short film delves into the story of a slay queen who denied a love proposal from a rich guy.
Written and directed by Kanyong’o, the short film has been produced by John Nguluwe of Positive Arts.
The short film features Sophie Mponda as a slay queen while Kanyong’o plays rich guy.
“Magic Promotions Company will release the movie this coming Friday through Magic Promotions Malawi YouTube page and same name on Facebook. It is a short movie as I said and it only runs for 10 minutes,” he said.
He said during this difficult time, as the world is battling Covid, they would want people to learn lessons from the short movie.
“I am happy that after taking various roles in movies, I have now managed to direct my own movie. This is just the beginning but I am targeting a feature film next,” Kanyong’o said.
