Silver Strikers bank on Collen Nkhulambe
Airtel Top 8 Cup champions, Silver Strikers, have signed striker Collen Nkhulambe from Nyasa Big Bullets on a season-long deal.
The Central Bankers’ General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, confirmed that Nkhulambe would be available for selection when the Lilongwe giants are meeting Bullets in the 2018 season in all competitions.
He said signing Nkhulambe has been the club’s dream after failing to land him in 2016.
“We wanted to boost the striking force. Last season, we failed to win the Super League championship due to lack of players that could score goals regularly. We relied on midfielders such as Victor Limbani to score, so the technical panel advised us to bring in more strikers,” he said.
Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Fleetwood Haiya, said they have loaned out Nkhulambe for him to access more game-time.
Haiya said they would be monitoring all players that have been loaned out including Cuthbert Sinetre, Tilekeleni Joseph, Ian Chinyama and Maneno Nyoni.
The TNM Super League is expected to kick off after a fortnight.
