Silver Strikers finally suspends training

Lilongwe giants, Silver Strikers, have finally suspended training, few days after Blantyre based outfits, Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets, stopped training due to coronavirus outbreak threat.
Silver were not ready to suspend training despite the suspension of the 2020 TNM Super League a fortnight ago.
The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Thokozani Chimbali, said they were weighing options.
Chimbali said the decision was arrived at yesterday during a meeting between players, coaching panel and officials.
“We have agreed to stop players from reporting for training until we are safe. We are hoping that players will be responsible to keep fit as anything can happen,” Chimbali said.
On Sunday, Wanderers through their General Secretary, Victor Maunde, announced the club had suspended training sessions indefinitely while Bullets made the call on Thursday last week Blue Eagles were the first to ban training.
