Silver Strikers Reserve clobbered Luanar FC 4-1 in a Chipiku Stores Premier Division match at Silver Stadium on Saturday.

This is the first maximum points for Silver Reserve, having shared spoils with Green Rangers in the first match.

Mpulula said his charges dominated the match but were still a team under construction.

“I am happy that the boys played according to my instructions. The team played as a unit and created many chances. The team is still work in progress,” he said.

Luanar Coach Miliasi Pofera said individual errors cost his side the match.

“Poor goalkeeping cost us the game. The result is not a true reflection of the game. Officiation also left a lot be desired. Easter Zimba failed to handle the game and that disturbed my players,” he said.

In other matches played on Saturday, Ascent Academy handed Dwangwa United their second loss of the season with a 3-2 victory.

Man-of-the-match Lovemore Mbeta scored a brace, with the other goal coming from Christopher Mbototo, whereas Charles Mafaiti and Frank Banda were on target for the former TNM Super League side.

Ascent have maintained their impressive record, having defeated Wimbe United by a similar margin in the first game.

Ascent Coach Thom Mkolongo was impressed with the performance of the team.

“Our target is to get promoted to the TNM Super League in the near future. We have assembled a good team,” Mkolongo said.

Elsewhere, Mbavi United claimed a 3-2 victory over Ngolowindo FC with goals from Lazaro Banda (brace) and Ledson Nkhoma whereas man-of-the- match Leonard Chilenje scored a brace.

Green Rangers defeated Mitundu Strikers 1- 0 courtesy of Felix Selemani. Japhet Semba from Rangers was man-of-the-match.

Dedza Dynamos registered a 2-0 victory over Kawinga FC, thanks to Steven Tenobia and Vincent Menyani, whereas the match between St Gabriel and Mchinji Boma Strikers ended goal-less.
