Silver Strikers will summon the Young Chimodzi-led coaching panel in a desperate bid to find a solution to the Bankers’ indifferent form that threatens their TNM Super League title charge.
Silver acting General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, on Thursday confirmed the meeting, but described it as routine in view of back-to-back 1-0 and 4-2 losses to Kamuzu Barracks (KB).
“We were supposed to talk to them after the game on Wednesday, but we will do so today [yesterday]. We want to have an idea as what happened for us to lose two consecutive games,” Nyirenda said.
“However, we do not want to make decisions in a hurry. As we earlier indicated, we did not set targets for the coaches. They are rebuilding. The team missed some key players through injuries. The players and coaches were also under pressure since they had games in hand.”
Silver lost 4-2 to Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium on Wednesday to miss a chance to go top as the soldiers went to the summit temporarily.
Silver are fifth on the log table with 43 points from 24 games, three points behind KB.
