Former Super League champions, Silver Strikers, are rumoured to be interested in signing Big Bullets duo of Chiukepo Msowoya and Dalitso Sailesi with the aim of getting their 2015 Super League campaign back on track.

Inside sources in the Bankers’ camp indicate that the club is preparing a transfer bid for the duo that has immensely contributed to Bullets’ success so far this season.

Silver’s acting general secretary, Fred Kalonga, confirmed yesterday that the committee was being pressurised to sign the duo.

“Indeed, the supporters came to us, saying we should get the two players. However, as a committee, we have not made that decision yet. We told the supporters that we do not have those plans yet. We are yet to decide on that. There is a lot of talk that Victor Limbani is going back to Bullets, but we can’t let him go after signing him six months ago,” he said.

“However, we are still going to sign some players in the mid-season break. We need a new goalkeeper and defending and attacking midfielders. We will reveal our transfer targets soon.”

However, Bullets’ vice-secretary, Kelvin Moyo, confirmed that they were aware of Silver’s interest in their two players.

“Those rumours are true yes, but officially there is no transfer request. But we are not letting them go. Who could want to leave a team like Bullets? It is a good avenue to get into the national team. We are also doing well this season and I don’t think the players could want to leave now. We want to keep our best players,” he said.

“The technical team has given us names of their transfer targets and we are ready to support them to get the players. We understand that we need new players because the players did not have enough time to rest in preparation for this season because of participation in the Caf Champions League.”

Moyo revealed that the club was interested in signing Silver Strikers forward Green Harawa.
