“We have to keep the players active. We do not want them to lose steam. The game against Silver is our game of the season and everybody knows the importance of the game,” Madeira said.

Wanderers thrashed Moyale Barracks 7-2 on Saturday whereas Silver last played a competitive match last week as they defeated Bullets 2-0 in the cup’s semi-final.

Silver Coach, Lovemore Fazili, said they have intensified preparations for the final.

“Since we participated in the Confederations Cup games, we have been training twice a day. We will also train in Blantyre. We are sure that we will get something against Wanderers on Sunday,” Fazili said.

The cup provides Silver and Wanderers a perfect opportunity to win silverware this season.

The winner of the trophy will pocket K16 million plus a trophy.
