The two teams meet tomorrow at Lilongwe’s Bingu National Stadium in the third final of the competition.

Fam Commercial Director, Limbani Matola, said Skeffa’s performance will be one of several activities on the menu to spice up the event.

Matola said preparations for the final had been concluded and the football fraternity should look forward to a colourful showpiece.

“On the day of the match, soccer fans will have a chance to participate in what we are calling fan zone. This is an activity that will see spectators participating in penalty shoot-outs. The lucky ones will win airtime and other interesting prizes.

“Skeffa will provide musical entertainment to ensure that the final has no dull moment. We know that some spectators will come quite early to the match venue and we want to keep them entertained with the music show,” Matola said.

Meanwhile, Silver and Karonga have intensified their preparations ahead of the crunch tie.

Silver assistant Coach, Lovemore Fazili, said they would like to become the only team to lift the cup twice after winning the inaugural edition in 2017.

Fazili said his charges would carry the day if they play according to instructions.

“Our preparations have gone on well throughout the week. We have no injuries in our camp and everything is in order. The boys are aware of the importance of winning the cup.

“This is the only cup we can bank on as we cannot be sure of doing well in other competitions. We just need to be focused and play our game,” Fazili said.

Karonga Coach, Dan Dzinkambani, said his team was geared to make history by becoming the first Northern Region side to win the cup.

Dzinkambani said their early arrival in Lilongwe had helped his charges to adapt to the environment and rectify their scoring problems.

“This is a great moment for us and we know why we are here. We are a small team but have something to achieve. We want to become the first and only team from the North to win this cup. I want to assure our fans that, if there would be no intimidation at the match venue, we will come out victorious,” Dzinkambani said.

Silver reached the final after beating Masters Security 1-0 through Mike Tetteh’s goal while Karonga edged Mzuni 5-4 on post-match penalties to reach the final.
