Soldier Lucius Banda has been discharged from Mwaiwathu Hospital in Blantyre, where he was admitted on Monday.
His son Johnny confirmed Thursday that his father had been discharged and that he was in good condition.
Lucius, one of the successful musicians in the country, wrote on his Facebook page that he was thankful to each and every one for prayers and caring messages since he was admitted.
“Me and my family are really humbled for such love. It means a lot to us. I am greatly improving and I can feel the healing power of the Most High God. Mulungu ndiye mwini moyo and I greatly praise Him,” Lucius said.
The musician, famed for songs such as ‘Mabala’ and ‘Nthawi’, on Sunday performed at Pa Zinziri in Blantyre, where he shared the stage with among others, Sam Smack, his son Johnny and Nepman.
After jumping to the stage, Lucius had complained of flu.
Johnny said his father went for normal check-up before doctors advised that they needed to run more tests and thus he had to be admitted.
The Presidential Adviser on Youth and Arts has said he was looking forward to more performances in 2021, having not had more shows last year due to Covid-19.
Lucius also said he would like to engage youth groups in districts to listen to their stories.
