Soldier Lucius Banda left the country on Wednesday for United Kingdom where he is expected to perform at this year’s Malawi Achievers Awards.
The legendary musician, who has over 15 albums to his credit, said on his Facebook page that he was set to perform at the Malawi Achievers Awards Saturday.
“I leave the band in the hands of Mr Zembani himself [Johnny, his son] for this weekend,” Lucius said.
The poster of the Malawi Achievers Awards indicates that Lucius will be performing in United Kingdom after a 10 year absence.
The artist will hold the show at The Nottingham Golf and Country Club.
However, some people asked Soldier on his Facebook page on his availability at the Beerfest to be held this weekend at Lilongwe Golf Club.
A poster which has been flying for Beerfest indicates that Lucius will be performing there but he responded that he would not be available and instead his son Johnny would handle everything including performing his songs.
“The rest are there and my songs will be played by Johnny,” Lucius said.
