Soldier Lucius Banda might have been going through a tough time with illness lately, but he still had time to record a praise and worship song titled ‘Ndinu Yemweyo’ which he drops Friday.
The legendary musician— who opened up about his health recently, indicating that he has a kidney problem— said Wednesday he was thankful to God for the healing mercies.
“As the title reads, ‘Ndinu Yemweyo’ is all about praising God for healing mercies. He has been there throughout,” Lucius said.
He said the song was ready and that, come Friday (tomorrow), people would have a chance of buying it through MobTech music app on Mpamba and Airtel Money.
“People will not access it anywhere else except through this platform and, as such, I just want to call upon those who love music and my music to support me by buying it,” he said.
He said production of the song saw him mounting a studio at his base, with Ralph Ching’amba doing the magic while Peter Likhomo handled the bass guitar and Mvahiwa Hanke played the lead guitar.
“It is a mature tune; it’s strictly praise and worship and I am just talking about being healed through Jesus Christ. This is also the beginning of my new direction,” he said.
Lucius said he had made it a point that, when he reaches 50 years, he would concentrate on gospel music.
“Of course, most of my songs are gospel but, this time, I want to focus more on the gospel side. I would like to thank God for keeping me alive all these years. In the song, I am just asking God to purify me and strengthen me,” he said.
