The country’s sound engineer Shadreck Kalukusha leaves the country tomorrow for Uganda where he is expected to manage concerts as well as hold a workshop.
Kalukusha, who has managed a number of events and festivals in the country, said on Wednesday it was exciting for the sound engineering family for him to be invited in Uganda.
“I got to meet the Ugandan team through Sand Music Gospel concert managed by Wendy Harawa. The team was very skeptical at first with sound engineers in Malawi but got convinced with the way sound was being mixed,” he said.
Kalukusha, who is also expected to play his sound engineering magic during the concert of Nigerian musician Kizz Daniel on August 27 at Lilongwe Golf Club, said he has been invited by the guys from Maestro Studio Productions and their band is Maestro,” he said.
Kalukusha said apart from the concert, he will also hold a workshop to enlighten some of the sound engineers in Uganda.
“This is very exciting that they were able to recognise me and they have even paid me everything. There is talent in Malawi and I am looking forward to impress,” he said.
Kalukusha said this was the first time for him to be invited as an individual and do sound engineering outside the country.
