ICT Solutions provider in Africa-Sparc Systems-has donated K750,000 to Zambia-based Living Open Foundation to help hosting an administration software course.

Founder of Living Open Foundation, Santos Venter Chibenga, when receiving the donation at Sparc offices in Blantyre on Wednesday, hailed Sparc for the support.

“The donation is timely as it will help us cover for logistics in our bid to stimulate the youths to understand ICT. It is important for us to take a leading role and not rely on experts to train these youths,” he said.

It is not surprising that Sparc has donated to a Zambia-based organisation as it has branches in Lusaka and Copperbelt.

Chibenga was accompanied by QA Limited of England official Alina Swietochowska.

Sparc Systems Technical Engineer, Grace Jonazi, said they decided to support the organisation as it was in line the company’s business model.

“This training is ideal for the youths because it will empower them with ICT skills. They will definitely earn a living and also boost the ICT sector,” he said.
