The Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) has urged volleyball coaches to impart knowledge in athletes to take the game to the next level.
MNCS Board Member Charles Ulaya made the remarks during the closing ceremony of Level One volleyball coaching course at Kamuzu Institute for Sports in Lilongwe over the weekend.
Ulaya said the council aims at building capacity for all sports associations.
“Our expectations are very high that volleyball coaches will be active by implementing what they learnt. We want all sporting disciplines to get enough support,” he said.
Malawi Schools Sports Association (Massa) Chairperson Blackson Malamula hailed the council for funding the training whereas one of the participants, Patricia Bamusi, promised to impart knowledge in athletes to develop the game.
The coaching course attracted 40 participants who received a certificate each.
