Standard Bank has said they are overwhelmed with the response they have received from people ahead of the Blue Mingoli concert to be held at Bingu International Conference Centre in Lilongwe on November 5.
The concert will be headlined by South Africa’s singer Zonke, who will come face to face with Patience Namadingo.
Head of Marketing and Communications Thoko Unyolo said during the Blue Mingoli Pre-show event held at Chameleon in Lilongwe during a Sunday Jazz that tickets for the show are selling out.
“The response is very good, we have very few tickets remaining for VIP as well as regular tickets and we urge people to come and buy to avoid missing out,” Unyolo said.
She said as Standard Bank, they will continue supporting the arts through the Blue Mingoli platform adding that this year apart from music, they have partnered with Art House led by visual artist Elson Kambalu to showcase different artworks.
She said she was impressed with the performances during the pre-event adding that they were looking forward to the main event and that Zonke is ready to perform in the country for the first time.
Namadingo also said he was impressed with the performances on the day adding that Malawi has matured as far as music is concerned.
“I am ready for the main event and people should just watch the space. I just want to thank Standard Bank for giving me this opportunity,” he said.
Apart from Namadingo, the other artists that performed at the free pre-show event are A4AY& Mibawa Band, Blaze and Nepman.
Meanwhile Standard Bank has introduced what it dubs a Triple 5 Facebook promotion for the Blue Mingoli concert.
The bank has announced that five fans will win free tickets to the November 5 concert by ‘liking’ the Standard Bank Malawi page on Facebook.
Unyolo said the bank is excited to offer five tickets to lucky fans, who interact with Standard Bank via the bank’s Facebook page.
