Standard Bank promises better customer experience


Standard Bank Malawi has confirmed that the bank has successfully migrarted to its new core banking platform, Financle, replacing Bankmaster.

Making the announcement, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Andrew Mashanda said this upgrade will improve customer experience and improve digital capabilities that have now put the bank on a path way of continuous innovation.

“All of us at Standard Bank are very excited about the new future of banking in Malawi with Finacle. The new banking system provides a medium that will significantly improve the way we serve our customers and also improve their experience when they interact with the bank. It will make banking more personal, flexible and agile as we continue to move our customers forward,” Mashanda said.


Mashanda thanked customers for being understanding during the exercise, saying Standard Bank wants to move its customers forward in the most efficient way possible in line with their needs.

“We thank you for your patience and continued support during this exercise over the weekend. We will keep you posted of our new capabilities in due course,” he said.

He added that the migration to Finacle represents a yearlong in careful planning and investment aimed at delivering an exciting, superior customer experience.
