Stanley Sanudi out of Blantyre derby
TNM Super League leaders, Be Forward Wanderers, will miss their right-back, Stanley Sanudi, during Sunday’s match against arch-rivals Nyasa Big Bullets at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
Sanudi is suspended for the match after being shown a second yellow card during the 1-0 win over Blue Eagles on Sunday at Balaka Stadium.
However, the Nomads Coach, Yasin Osman, insisted that he has cover for Sanudi. Bongani Kayipa usually steps in for Sanudi.
“We are planning big this season and the boys are showing a winning spirit. We are just worried that we will not have our key defender Stanley Sanudi on Sunday when we face Bullets, but we will see what to do when we go back to the drawing board,” said Osman, whose side leads the table with 28 points from 11 matches.
Meanwhile, Super League of Malawi (Sulom) on Sunday unveiled Premier Bet Wizard defender, Denis Chembezi, as player of the month of June.
Chembezi said he was happy to receive the award, worth K30,000, following his exploits in helping Wizards rise to second place on the log table.
“I thank Sulom for the recognition. I will continue working hard to make sure that my team is doing well this season,” he said.
