Suffix has resurfaced with a new single titled ‘Misozi’.
The Lilongwe-based musician released the song last Monday.
Featuring Esther Chitheka, the song talks about the tough situation people are going through at the moment due to the surge in Covid cases.
He said, due to the pandemic, people had lost hope.
“Recently, I was going to Lilongwe from Kasungu. Two of my friends lost their relatives, who succumbed to Covid. It is tough but we will pull through and this is why I thought of releasing a song,” Suffix said.
He said, through the song, he wanted to bring hope to the hopeless.
“The pandemic is claiming lives of people from all walks of life. But let us not lose hope; we just have to continue praying to God so that He can save us from Covid,” he said.
Suffix said he hoped the song would play a part in bringing smiles to people and minister into their lives.
“We, as human beings, have failed to defeat the pandemic and it is only God who can rescue us from all this,” the artist said.
With artists not holding shows due to Covid, Suffix said he hoped the situation would normalise soon for them to get back to the stage.
The track, which is now available on digital platforms, has been produced by Manifest.
The ‘Ndikanakhala Judge’ star also said he was working on his second album, set for release later this year.
He said the album would feature well-known acts such as Piksy, Pompi, Lecrae, Joyner Lucas, NF and Casper Nyovest.
