Malawi Stock Exchange-listed hospitality chain, Sunbird Hotels and Resorts, on Friday hailed hotel bookers for their loyalty to the Sunbird brand.
Speaking during a Bookers Engagement Cocktail in Lilongwe, Sunbird Head of Sales, Marketing and Distribution Temwa Kanjadza said the support from bookers had ensured that the business remains afloat during an unprecedented turbulent season for the hospitality industry due to the impact of the Covid pandemic.
Kanjadza also underscored Sunbird’s desire to constantly engage stakeholders to ensure continued unrivalled service delivery in the industry.
“Interactions such as these are a platform for feedback from you, a response we value, and provides great input into the strategic direction of our business in terms of products and services in order to ensure that the guests you send to our establishments, including yourselves, continue to experience value for money,” Kanjadza said.
She observed that, to ensure a diverse customer experience under the Sunbird brand, the hotel chain would soon be breaking ground for an Eco lodge in Majete Game reserve which will target the discerning traveler looking to experience nature and game tourism while accommodating business and pleasure.
“A state-of-the-art bar, situated in the same facility, will be part of this establishment. The restaurants and bar are likely to be launched this March,” Kanjadza said.
According to Kanjadza, Sunbird Kuchawe is currently undergoing a rooms’ refurbishment to ensure unforgettable guest experience at the hotel.
“The rooms’ refurbishment is slated for completion in June. We will soon roll out rooms’ refurbishment initiative for Sunbird Mzuzu, in order to further cement our position as the premier leading destination for hospitality services in the Northern Region,” she said.
