Malawi National Netball Team Friday woke up from their slumber in fine fashion to whack Zambia 48-35 and set up PacificAus Netball Series final against undefeated Tonga Nation in Gold Coast, Australia.

It was a perfect response from The Queens who on Thursday suffered their first loss at the ranking tournament when they went down to 16th-placed Zambia 50-46.

Friday, the Queens were on fire as they avoided mistakes that cost them the game against their neigbours.

Centre court Takondwa Lwazi was influential linking up the defence and attack while wing attacker Shira Dimba was lively supplying passes into the ring where Jane Chimaliro and sniper Sindie Simtowe-Msowoya were impressive.

In defence, First Choice Tigresses players Lauren Ngwira, Martha Dambo and Grace Mwafulirwa- Mhango were also a changed trio as they made some interceptions and closed gaps to frustrate the opponents.

Despite maintaining the same line-up for the fourth successive match, sixth-ranked Queens were an improved side.
