T20 cricket semis decided
Four teams have booked their T20 Cricket semifinals slots following their outstanding performance in the quarterfinals.
Mpingwe Silver, Gold, Grey and Orange have qualified for the semifinals after seeing-off Oriental Cricket Club, Mpingwe Purple, Mpingwe White and Mpingwe Blue.
At Indian Sports Club, MSC Silver made 165 runs in 20 overs and Aasif Rustam contributed 42 runs while Mubassir Amiji had 45 and Minhaz Patel supplied 39.
In response, OCC made 113 runs to bow out. Hafez Sohel made 38 runs and Gavrav Patel had16.
In the afternoon at the same venue, MSC Gold outclassed MSC Blue.
Gold scored 120 runs in 20 overs with Sadik Bhaththi supplying 47 while Rizwan Patel had 27.
In Mpingwe, MSC Blue got all-out in 112 runs. Akbar Bhana contributed 27 with Mohsin Patel supplying 22. Terry Tarmohmed had 19 runs.
In games played at Oriental Club, Mpingwe Grey produced a fine performance and made 210 in 20-overs.
In reply, MSC Purple got all-out in 180-runs.
In the last quarterfinal, MSC White made 106 all-out and in response, Orange made those runs in 18 overs.
Angad Sing recorded 51 runs while Majid Khan had 12. Imtiyaz Badat contributed 23 runs for Orange.
Meanwhile, T20 administrators have already disclosed that the league would go on break when the Muslim community observes Ramadan.
