T/A Bvumbwe dies
Traditional Authority (T/A) Bvumbwe died Wednesday morning at Seventh-day Adventist Hospital in Blantyre.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Muhlabase Mughogho confirmed the death.
“T/A Bvumbwe died around 4am at the hospital after a short illness,” Mughogho said.
The late chief was born on June 3 1978.
Mughogho said the burial ceremony for T/A Bvumbwe will take place on August 22, 2015 at his Makungwa Headquarters in Thyolo District.
Thyolo District Commissioner Charles Thombozi issued a press statement yesterday, announcing the death of T/A Bvumbwe.
T/A Bvumbwe (Christopher Bvumbwe) was installed on June 1 2001.
Thombozi said: “T/A Bvumbwe has died at the age of 37 after a short illness. He is survived by a wife and two children.”
