She-Flames captain Tabitha Chawinga completed her quadruple of trophies in China after helping Jiang Sunning to a 2-0 victory over Dalian in the Renault Super Cup on Sunday.

The Malawian did not register her name on target but provided an assist after she was brought down in the penalty box for the first goal.

This means Tabitha has won four cups in China this season after winning the Women’s Chinese Super League, Chinese FA Cup and Women’s CFA Tournament.

“We have made history today (Sunday) by sweeping all the cups in China. We thank God it was not easy for us but we made it,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Her club, Sunning are expected to represent China in the Club Champions League slated for November 26 in Korea. Tabitha finished as the league’s top goal scorer with 12 goals for the second consecutive year in China.

In her debut season, Tabitha netted 17 goals in the Chinese Women’s Super League.

But she scored 15 goals and nine goals in the FA and CFA Tournament, respectively this season.

Former She-Flames, Assistant Coach, Andrew Chikhosi, hailed Tabitha for her achievements in China.

“Top class player and I am not surprised with her form,” Chikhosi said.

Tabitha moved to China after spending three years in Sweden where she won two Golden Boot Awards. The striker has been offered two-year contract extension in China after impressive performance in two years.

The former DD Sunshine striker was part of the She- Flames squad which lost 5-3 on aggregate to Kenya in the 2020 Olympics qualifiers.
