Gospel artist Tamika Milimbo says all is set for the launch of his debut album Luso slated for October 30, 2016 at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.

The Tisiyana Odalira hit maker said after the release of the song in February, he has received overwhelming response from the gospel music fraternity.

The music video for the single also continues to enjoy airplay on most of the local television stations.

“Looking at the success of my single, I decided to take ample time to prepare for the launch of the album in order to maintain the standards, hence the silence. But now people should be assured of a night of wonderful music during the launch,” Tamika said.

He said this is a night show, adding that he has done it deliberately this time in an effort to ensure that it is a family event with students, business community as well as the working class being able to attend.

Better known as Tiz Kells in the music circles, Tamika, who is into afro pop, maintains that this is the style that separates him from other artists in the gospel blog, who are more into rumba, reggae and South Africa style.

“I want to challenge people to come in their numbers. They will not be disappointed. It’s a local show with local artists organised by locals. They should simply expect a night of classic and beautiful music,” he assured.

Tamika, who is a human resources specialist at Ntchisi District Council, said during the night, there will be live performances coming from him as well as Allan Chirwa, Faith Mussa and Sir Charles Barton.

“We are trying to raise the standards, we want to make the show memorable by making it an experience like no other to everyone that will patronise,” he said.
