Tawile shines in designer contest
Designer Tawile Kumsinda was the toast of the day last Saturday when she won the Fashion Edition Malawi (Fame) Up and Coming Designer competition held at Don Bosco Youth Institute in Lilongwe.
All the designers who participated showed their amazing pieces but in the end Tawile was the winner with her Fourteen Fifteen collection. Her designs are all about accentuating lines and net materials that showcase the body and using trending summer colours such as red, blue and yellow.
The other designers who showed their work include Arnold Gamah, Issabel King, Lauretta of Vivetta label and Theophilus Fashions. Fame’s designer contest was funded by UNAIDS’s Protect the Goal Campaign.
