Award winning artist Tay Grin left the country yesterday for Europe where he is expected to hold performances in, among other countries, Iceland.

Tay Grin, who won three awards during the Nyasa Music Awards in May, is also expected to hold performances in, United States of America (US), Ireland and South Africa.

Speaking to The Daily Times before his departure, Tay Grin expressed his delight at performing in Iceland, Ireland, South Africa and US.

“I am looking forward to performing in all these countries especially in Iceland. There is a big festival there with approximately 30,000 attendants. I am the only Malawian and African act performing there so I am excited,” he said.

He further added that his performances outside the country will raise awareness of the growing music industry in the Malawi.

Tay Grin attributed his worldwide success and popularity to the awards he receives.

“We sponsored the flight to motivate the young men and women in the creative industry who we believe will appreciate our products as well” McGuire said.

Tay Grin will share the stage with US hip-hop star Rick Ross during Secret Solstice Festival 2017 in Reykjavik, Iceland, that will take place from June 16 to18.
