Tay Grin, Lulu to share stage in USA

Tay Grin and Lulu are expected to face off in a gig in United States of America (USA) slated for April 29 2023.

Tay Grin, famed for songs such as ‘Chipapapa’, who left the country on Sunday, confirmed the development Tuesday, saying the people in South Bend, Indiana, were in for a treat.

Before the April 29 show, Tay Grin is also expected to hold two shows, with the first one Thursday and, then, Kusewera benefit concert on April 27 2023.

“It is something great having two artists from Malawi perform in USA on one stage,” he said.

Lulu, who left earlier and had his main successful show on April 1 2023 during a Black Tie Charity event organised by Hats and Tea Inc, also said he was happy to perform together with Tay Grin in USA.

“It has been a great experience here. So many lessons and I am looking forward to another great outing with Tay Grin,” the multi-talented artist said.

Lulu, who is set to drop a track titled ‘Udzindimvera’ on April 21, said he has so far connected with Nigerian producers living in USA.

In order to give people in USA authentic sound, Tay Grin has travelled with his Nyau crew of Kasim Ali and Saidi John, whose footprints stem from Fikisa.

“It is going to be fireworks. These two are the best drummers in the country and the sound they add to my music is absolutely unique and I see this show opening greater doors for us. We have prepared well,” the rapper said.

This is the first time for Ali and John to travel to USA.

Tay Grin said it was a dream come true for him to be performing in Hollywood at the iconic Whisky Go Go.

“It is always an honour representing my country and this is one of the highest highlights of our industry. Kusewera are doing a great job back home and to be part of their event this side is absolutely great, knowing the funds raised are to benefit the people of my country,” he said.
