‘The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind’ exhibition starts Friday

An exhibition themed The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, which tells the story of innovator William Kamkwamba, starts today at Chocolate Factory in Zomba.
One of the artists involved in the inspired art project Madalitso Ziwaoh confirmed yesterday that the exhibition is on.
“All is set for the exhibition. All precautionary measures will be followed in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. We will also make this exhibition online,” he said.
Apart from Ziwaoh, other artists involved in the exhibition include Charles Levison, Samuel Ndalema and Kelvin Maxwell Ngoma, an actor who starred in The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, a film by Hollywood star Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Ziwaoh said, during the opening of the exhibition which will run for a month, the film will also be screened.
He said after the exhibition in Zomba, they will take the exhibition to Blantyre, Lilongwe and Kasungu.
The project is being spearheaded by Art Malawi with Moving Windmill, a non-governmental organisation initiated by Kamkwamba.
