In a bid to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, Lilongwe-based gospel outfit The Heart of Worship (Thow) has tomorrow organised a pre-Christmas celebration show at which patrons will sample new songs contained in the project they are yet to launch next year.
Slated for Black Pepper Restaurant, area 3, in Lilongwe, the outfit’s members have said they are set to offer their best to patrons.
Thow leader Tamandani Nkhata said they were done with preparations for the show, describing it as a family event where all are welcome.
“It will be a night full of joy. There will be 100 percent live performance of Christmas Carols and worship songs. Christmas time is time to glorify God for taking us this far. We have had a rough year but, still, we are strong in Jesus name,” he said
Nkhata said the event would also be part of pre-launching their new album.
“People will also be able to appreciate some of the songs in the album. We have an album titled Have Your Way and this is one of our best projects where we have songs such as ‘Mudzina Lake’ and ‘Here Is My Heart’. We will perform them live because we want people to have a feel of what we have this coming year.
“We, at The Heart of Worship, being a multi-faith group comprising young men and women from several denominations, see ourselves being one of the well-established and powerful worship tools not only in Malawi but at the international level as well,” Nkhata said.
He added that, apart from offering a live music performance, there would be a time for interaction while patrons savour food.
Slated to start at 6 o’clock in the evening, K5,000 will be the damages per head, with food being part of the package.
