Super Sakuwa Limited has donated energy drinks worth K25, 000 to the Malawi National Netball Team ahead of their preparations for the African Netball Championship in Uganda at the end of the month.
The company’s Sales and Marketing Executive, Enock Chithonje, made the donation to the team at Blantyre Youth Centre on Monday.
“The Queens always do us proud whenever they participate in international competitions. We thought of sharing with them as a way of giving back to our customers and we hope they will also make us proud at the competition,” Chithonje said.
In reaction, the Queens’ Captain, Joana Kachilika, said: “People have trust in us and we will make sure that we continue doing fine so that such companies and Malawians should maintain their belief in us.”
Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) President, Khungekire Matiya, also hailed the company for the donation.
“The girls have lost much energy since they started training, we therefore, value this donation as it will help restore the energy in the girls,” she said
The Queens are expected to leave for Uganda on Sunday.
