Gospel musicians Thoko Suya and Benardetta Maliro have been invited to Cape Town, South Africa for performances on October 16 and 23.
The two will share the stage with other female gospel musicians based in Cape Town in a show dubbed Gospel Explosion.
Suya, famed for songs such as Amandikonda and Adzandinyamula, confirmed the invitation in South Africa.
“I am happy that I will be performing in South Africa. This is a chance for me to perform to a different audience and minister the word of God,” she said.
The Gospel Explosion has been organised by the Classic Ladies made up of Samalani Goba Paulosi, 3 Sisters and Catherine Nguluwe.
“This is the first ever Gospel Explosion in Cape Town. Cape Town is the mother city and we thought we should have a gospel show where female musicians can share the stage together,” Paulosi said.
She said all the preparations for the two shows have been finalised and that they are expecting Suya and Maliro to be in Cape Town by October 12.
“We have made it that they come early so that they can practice with the band because we want people to experience live performances,” Paulosi said
