Thomas Chibade gears for new album in 2020

DJ at 24/7 Club
Musician Thomas Chibade better known as Chenkhumba has said all is set for him to release a new album this year.
Chibade admitted that he did not do enough last year but was quick to say that music requires more time hence he was taking his time to come out with the best.
“I am not finished. I am around as Thomas Chibade and there is no problem. But all I say is that music is something serious and so, you need to be prepared. I am currently in the studio and if all goes according to plan, I should have the album ready by March,” he said.
The artist decided to enter the New Year by performing at Club 24/7 in Blantyre where he shared the stage with Symon and Kendall and Zambia’s Organised Family.
“I am recording the album with Lulu at Mathumela Studio,” he said.
Some people came out last year to announce that Chibade was struggling and that he had no money to go to the studio and record an album.
It was then that Lulu came to the rescue and offered to record Chibade, who was at his peak at some moment.
He said the title of the new album is Waiwala Mmene Unathera.
He said he was optimistic that people will welcome the songs once out.
Meanwhile the artist has called on people in the country to love one another and refrain from violence in 2020.
“This is a New Year let us work together in building the country. We are all one, the North, Central and Southern Region. Just as I did in the song ‘Sitilola’,” Chibade famed for songs such as ‘Zatukutsira’, said.
